Discover Europe With a European River Cruise

There comes a time in most people’s life when they want to travel across Europe to see its beautiful landscapes, different cultures and taste the famous cuisine of one or two well known countries. If you want to relax and have a good time you should go on a European river cruise.

There are plenty of cruises to choose from, and there are plenty of rivers in Europe too. The most famous possibly is the Danube which flows through ten countries, including four Central and Eastern European capitals. The Danube originates in Germany and after a long travel it finally empties in the Black Sea via a delta in Ukraine and Romania.

When cruising the Danube you’ll most likely see the famous “Knee of the Danube” at Visegrad, Hungary, Budapest, the capital of Hungary and also the so-called “Paprika Land” near the border of Hungary and Croatia, otherwise known as the Hungarian Lowlands. Other famous cities you’ll see on your trip are Vienna, the capital of Austria, the city of Melk which is also located in Austria, Bratislava, capital of Slovakia and a few other major cities which were built somewhere on the 1771 miles of the Danube.

Make sure you have a camera with you because there’s always something to see when on a European river cruise. If you’re not out sightseeing or maybe on a city tour - which are available from almost every port you’ll visit - the ports usually have entertainment, restaurants, museums, etc. Choose a cruise that fits you and book your trip today, it really worth it!

Holidays in England - The Smart Choice

Attractive for both Locals and Tourists

Whether you live locally or only thinking about visiting Britain as a tourist, there are plenty of benefits in choosing holidays in England. If you are coming from a Dollar or Euro zone, lower value of Pound would mean that you get more for your money. Where previously British hotels and amusements were referred to as overpriced, now you’ll find that due to a difference in currency exchange rates and actual deflation in certain sectors you can get more fun for less visiting Britain.

Local holidaymakers will find that the increasing fuel cost means that it is much more reasonable to stay in Britain. Funnily enough many Brits admit that they know very little about their own country. In recent years it’s been in fashion to go abroad for exotic holidays. Hence many people have missed out on what their own country can offer. A recent survey showed that many Brits struggle to identify popular local Nature parks, resorts and beach towns. Oh, well, we will definitely catch up on our local geography during this summer. Hotels and B&Bs are preparing themselves for a very busy season, in fact allegedly on of the busiest ever. Read more…

The Best Time For Ireland Vacations

While most people choose the warm, sunny days of summer for their Ireland vacations, fall, spring and winter have their own special charms and are bargain times to travel. The scenery in varying shades of emerald green, rust and mustard is still stunning; the people are still friendly and few things are more rewarding than the camaraderie found in a welcoming Irish pub, especially to chase away the chill of a winter’s night.

The most popular season, from mid-June through mid-September, is the busiest time for Irish vacations. Temperatures are warm without being miserably sticky and hot, skies are sunny and tourists converge on the small country from continental Europe, the UK, the US and afar. Prices are highest, both for airfare and accommodations. As the weather starts to change, with cooler temperatures and more overcast days, most of the vacationers return to their homes and the prices go down. Read more…

Luxury vacations are becoming an increasingly available option for many more people than in the past. And corporate travel, which after 9/11 took a major hit, seems to be making a minor comeback. This is probably due to the desire of people for a bit of luxury travel, and luxury travel agencies seem willing to take on this additional task.

Why fly on the cheap all the time? Face it; many of us are going to scramble for that coach-class seat for most of our lives. That’s just a fact of our economic existence, for the most part. Planning it out will make it possible. The good news is, luxury travel or a luxury vacation can be very luxurious without having to break the bank or take out a second mortgage on the old family homestead. There are dozens of Internet travel sites, in fact, that can give you all the planning assistance you need to line up a vacation in some exotic locale for about the same amount of money you’d pay, in certain times of the year, for a more normal “regular” vacation.
